Denver Business Photography – Hula Moon Events and Bartending – CRAVE Denver

Happy weekend! Do I always say happy something? Hmm… maybe I need a new line. But I really am happy. :) We’ll see if I can find something super cool.

So…. Last week I got to photograph an amazing woman, Erin. She runs two businesses, and I had the priviledge of photographing her for the Denver Crave book that will be coming out soon! One of her businesses is Villain Design, the other is Hula Moon Events and Bartending. Both are super fun, and creative! The photos for Villain are here if you want to check them out, and now come the photos for Hula Moon!

Erin and her hubby have a tiki bar downstairs with a vintage feel, and I just loved it! We just recently had a luau for our engagement party so I’ve been in a tiki kind of mood. She had more tiki masks and cool glasses than I’ve ever seen, it reminded me of one of those older movies set in Hawaii. What was it called, Beach Blanket Bingo or something like that? The huge tiki guy by the door was really neat, but I think my favorite was the red light with the sticks. It’s hard to explain, but it was a square light, with red around it, and the sticks around it. Very creative and unique, I loved it!

When Erin and I set up the time for the shoot, she told me that she wanted to make some drinks for the photos, and that I could try them. So wait, I get to go do a photoshoot and taste fabulous cocktails at the same time? Yes please! Shoooot… twist my arm. It was in the name of business people, I had to try them! What kind of photographer, no scratch that, what kind of PERSON would I be if I didn’t give my honest opinion? So I tried them. And they were FANTASTIC. Wow. Seriously. I’m pretty impressed with myself when I get the right mixture of vodka and orange juice – so watching her measure and mix, and then sampling was way cool!

Check her out! And if you need any event help or bartending, especially tiki or vintage type events, check out Hula Moon. She really knows what she’s doing. I have tasted the cocktails and can vouch for her. SEE – I can’t put my personal stamp of approval on something I haven’t tried? (Is the sampling of cocktails justified yet, because I can practically HEAR Tom rolling his eyes…)
